Expatriate communities

One of the first things you will notice when you move into your villa compound or apartment building is that your fellow expat neighbors will be there to greet you and offer helpful little tips to help you get settled.

Unlike some other countries, in Qatar the expat communities groups are often made up of people from many different regions, it is not like the Americans only associate with the Americans or the British with the British. If you find yourself at one of Qatar's many fine dining establishments, especially at the Pearl, you will hear a delightful cacophony of jovial accents enjoying the atmosphere and company.

Another great way to meet expats if you have moved here alone is through sporting activities such as martial arts classes or group aerobics at any of the many gyms around.
